Mechanical Fitter – Workshop Based (Glasgow)

About the role
Join a close‑knit, family‑feel workshop in Glasgow assembling and testing industrial equipment for the water industry. The position offers a stable, permanent contract with a 35‑hour week and an early finish on Fridays.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble and test mechanical parts and equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Operate hand tools, a guillotine and a press brake (training provided).
- Assist with occasional site installations.
Required profile
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter able to work long‑term in a permanent role.
- Comfortable reading engineering drawings and following technical specifications.
- Team‑player who values a balanced work‑life schedule.

What we offer
- Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year plus optional overtime (OTE up to £50k).
- 35‑hour week, Monday‑Thursday 8 am‑4 pm, Friday finish at 1 pm.
