Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – 100+ Days Annual Leave

About the role

We are partnering with a leading manufacturing business in Leyland that is expanding rapidly. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will join a high‑performing engineering team, working a unique 4‑on‑4‑off shift pattern that provides over 100 days of annual leave. The role focuses on maintaining production machinery and site equipment while supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production lines and plant assets.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Support engineering projects, new installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Mechanical bias with a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good organisational and communication skills; PC literate.
• IOSH or health & safety qualification is desirable.
