About the role
First Achieve Ltd’s Engineering Division is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturing leader in Livingston, Scotland. After a three‑month training period on a rotating shift pattern, you will move to a 4‑on/4‑off continental shift, supporting plant reliability and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Support machinery installations and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
Required profile
- Time‑served Mechanical Engineer or completed apprenticeship.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns, including days, backs and nights.
