Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Masterfix is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its specialist engineering team. This hands‑on position involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical building services across premium residential and commercial properties in London.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding, servicing, repairs and planned maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Work on Fan Coil Units (FCUs), MVHR systems, underfloor heating, booster and circulating pumps, and domestic plumbing.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with Heat Interface Units (HIUs), pressurisation units and communal heating systems.
• Participate in a 1‑in‑3 out‑of‑hours call‑out rota for emergency situations.
• Communicate technical findings and solutions clearly to clients, residents and property managers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within property or building services.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver first‑time fixes.
• Strong technical knowledge of the systems listed above.
• Excellent fault‑finding skills and confidence in client communication.
