Mechanical Project Manager – Transport Infrastructure

About the role

This role supports a Local Government authority in delivering mechanical building services and infrastructure projects across a safety‑critical transport estate, including tunnels, bus depots and ferry terminals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical scopes, briefs and review mechanical designs.
• Manage consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate surveys, investigations and site delivery in live operational environments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and safety requirements while maintaining operational alignment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing mechanical projects in complex, live environments.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, safety standards and asset management.
• Ability to control costs, programmes and risks effectively.
• Familiarity with energy‑efficiency and decarbonisation principles.
