Mechanical Supervisor – Heat Pumps

About the role

This permanent position combines field and office work within a 1‑hour radius of Cambridge. You will lead the installation of air‑source and ground‑source heat pump systems for high‑end residential projects, supporting the team on‑site while ensuring quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise air‑source and ground‑source heat pump installations across East Anglia.
• Provide hands‑on support during installations and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with office staff to plan schedules, resources and documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified plumbing and heating engineer with experience in heat‑pump systems.
• Proven experience working with both air‑source and ground‑source heat pumps.
• Leadership experience and a desire to move into a supervisory role.
• Able to commute to Cambridge and the surrounding area.

Required skills

• Heat pump installation (air‑source and ground‑source).
• Plumbing and heating system expertise.
• Knowledge of renewable energy solutions for residential properties.
