Mechanical Technician – Biomass Power Station

About the role
Join Veolia as a Mechanical Technician at a biomass power station in Chilton. You will support sustainable energy production by maintaining and improving critical mechanical equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and document mechanical maintenance on conveyors, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulic equipment and other plant assets.
- Inspect, repair and maintain all types of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, logs and drawings in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Propose and develop modifications or improvements to plant equipment.
- Liaise with contractors on mechanical tasks and manage mechanical spares and consumables on site.
Required profile
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering is desirable.
- Detailed knowledge of maintenance techniques for mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
