Medical Staffing Administrator – NHS Band 4

About the role

The Medical Staffing Administrator supports the Women’s and Children’s division by preparing and maintaining daily medical rotas and out‑of‑hours cover. This Band 4 position works closely with multiple clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless staffing across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, update and distribute medical rotas for daily activities and out‑of‑hours cover.
• Organise and deliver inductions for new medical staff, including trainees and locally employed doctors.
• Liaise with the Medical Agency team, Medical Recruitment, HR, Medical Workforce, theatre and outpatient departments to facilitate effective rota planning.
• Attend and support Business Unit meetings as required.

Required profile

• Ability to work as part of a team in a pressurised environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage own workload, conflicting demands and regular interruptions.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
