MEICA Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a MEICA Project Manager to join the United Utilities team in the North West of England. The role will oversee the delivery of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control (MEICA) scope across multiple integrated schemes, supporting the AMP8 partnership with United Utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project reporting, including collation of key performance indicators and status updates.
• Manage selection and coordination of mechanical and electrical supply‑chain partners based on technical and commercial judgement.
• Take accountability for design integration of M&E package plants and associated control and automation systems.
• Lead programme ownership for all mechanical and electrical aspects from design through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage and develop team members, including Project Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, and Mechanical or Electrical Supervisors.

Required profile

• Current or previous experience in a similar role, ideally on water sector projects.
• BEng/ONC/HNC qualified Electrical or Mechanical engineer.
• Technical competence in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
• Proven people and project management skills with strong commercial awareness.
• Full driving licence.
