MEICA Site Manager – Water Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MEICA Site Manager to lead mechanical and electrical asset upgrades across water infrastructure sites in Kent and South East London. Based in Snodland, this mobile role will oversee critical packages such as sluice gates, river locks, pumping stations and eel screen installations.

Key responsibilities

• Take operational responsibility for MEICA delivery, managing day‑to‑day programmes and coordinating multi‑disciplinary subcontractors across multiple sites.
• Oversee complex mechanical and electrical packages including river locks, sluice gates, pumping systems and specialised eel screen replacements.
• Interpret design drawings, P&IDs, specifications and telemetry/control documents to ensure right‑first‑time delivery.
• Enforce CDM 2015 and asset safety standards, write and sign off RAMS, manage Permit to Work systems and supervise safe working procedures near water and in confined spaces.
• Track daily outputs against budgets, manage variations, maintain accurate site diaries and report progress to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering mechanical and electrical engineering packages within water, river or utilities sectors.
• Deep knowledge of water level control structures such as sluice gates, lock mechanisms and pumping station components.
• Relevant qualifications – SMSTS (Black or Gold), CSCS Managerial/Technical card; EUSR National Water Hygiene card is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across Kent and South East London.
