MEICA Site Manager – Water & Mechanical Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced MEICA Site Manager to lead water‑related mechanical and electrical works across Kent and South East London. The role involves full operational control of projects delivering upgrades to sluice gates, river locks, pumping stations and specialised eel screens.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for MEICA delivery, managing day‑to‑day programme and coordinating multi‑disciplinary subcontractors.
• Oversee complex mechanical and electrical packages including river locks, sluice gates, pumping systems and eel screen replacements.
• Interpret design drawings, P&IDs and specifications to ensure right‑first‑time delivery and seamless system integration.
• Enforce CDM 2015 and asset safety standards, produce and sign‑off RAMS, manage Permit‑to‑Work and safe‑working procedures in confined or water environments.
• Track daily progress against budgets, manage variations, maintain site diaries and report to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering MEICA packages in water, river or utilities sectors.
• Strong mechanical engineering background, particularly with heavy assets such as gates, locks and pumps.
• Knowledge of water level control structures and relevant industry standards.
• SMSTS certification, Black or Gold CSCS card (mandatory), full UK driving licence; National Water Hygiene card and EUSR are desirable.
