Mental Health Support Worker – CAMHS

About the role
Join Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood as a Mental Health Support Worker within the Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. You will work 12‑hour shifts across days, nights and weekends, providing compassionate care to young people on a defined treatment pathway from admission to discharge.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver enhanced, person‑centred care using a flexible learning approach.
- Provide physical and emotional support, guidance and encouragement.
- Identify individual needs and respond with appropriate assistance.
- Assist with medical and welfare requirements and record observations.
- Safeguard service users and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Required profile
- Genuinely motivated to make a positive difference in young lives.
- Excellent communicator and effective team player.
- Sensitive, intuitive and able to create a trusting, stimulating environment.
- Energetic and able to work varied shifts, including weekends.
Required skills
