Mental Health Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join a large South West based housing charity. The role starts immediately on a full‑time basis in Swindon, with a rotating shift pattern that includes weekend work.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred support to residents experiencing a mental health crisis, creating tailored support plans and interventions.
• Carry out regular wellbeing and welfare checks, providing practical and emotional assistance to help residents stabilise and progress towards recovery goals.
• Collaborate with NHS teams, mental health professionals and partner agencies to ensure coordinated support and positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe, calm and welcoming environment, adhering to safeguarding, risk management and service standards.

Required profile

• Recent experience working with vulnerable clients and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Willingness to work a rolling rota covering various shift times, including weekends.
