Mental Health Support Worker

About the role
Join Cygnet Kenney House in Oldham as a Mental Health Support Worker, providing compassionate care to women with mental health needs across three specialised wards. You will work 42 hours a week, covering days, nights and weekends, to help service users achieve recovery and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver enhanced, person‑centred care using a flexible learning approach.
- Provide physical and emotional support, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Assess individual needs and tailor assistance accordingly.
- Assist with medical and welfare requirements and record observations.
- Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
- Safeguard service users and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months experience in a mental health setting.
- Genuinely driven to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
- Excellent communicator and effective team player.
- Sensitive, intuitive and able to create a trusting environment.
- Passionate about empowering service‑user independence.
- Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
