Mental Health Support Worker – Littlemore Campus

About the role
Response is seeking compassionate individuals to join the Littlemore Campus team as Mental Health Support Workers. You will work in a residential setting supporting adults with acute mental health needs, helping them achieve greater independence and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Provide person‑centred emotional support and practical assistance with daily living activities.
- Assist residents with medication management, budgeting, shopping, cooking, and use of public transport.
- Promote independence by encouraging participation in community groups, education, and employment opportunities.
- Monitor physical and mental health, liaise with primary health services and mental health teams, and support attendance at appointments.
- Maintain a safe living environment through risk assessment, housing management, and health & safety practices.
Required profile
- Genuine interest in mental health and supporting people with serious mental illness.
- Ability to work flexibly across mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic approach.
- Commitment to promoting residents’ independence and wellbeing.
Required skills
- Experience or training in mental health support or social care.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and health & safety procedures in a residential setting.
What we offer
- Full‑time permanent role – 37 hours per week.
- Competitive salary range £27,051.44 – £28,900 per annum, dependent on experience.
