About the role
Join a dedicated team at a specialist school in Maidenhead as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant. You will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for students aged 4 to 16, providing the individualised support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Support students with mental health and additional needs throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with class teachers to deliver tailored guidance and interventions.
- Implement strategies that promote academic progress, confidence and resilience.
- Inspire and motivate pupils, helping them build self‑esteem.
- Work alongside a supportive staff team and shadow experienced professionals.
Required profile
- Passionate about making a difference for children.
- Compassionate, empathetic and confident.
- Some experience working with children, preferably with additional needs such as Autism or ADHD.
- Enthusiastic about supporting mental health in an educational setting.
