MEP Assistant Quantity Surveyor – London

About the role

Join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in London as an MEP Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will support senior colleagues across the full project lifecycle, gaining specialist expertise in mechanical and electrical cost management on high‑value capital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of MEP estimates, cost plans and tender documentation.
• Assist with procurement exercises and review contractor returns.
• Help manage interim valuations, variations and change control.
• Produce cost reports and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Attend design meetings, client reviews and site inspections.
• Support the commercial close‑out of mechanical and electrical packages.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Previous exposure to MEP, building services or specialist subcontract packages.
• Experience within a UK consultancy, contractor or subcontractor environment.
• Good understanding of pre‑ and post‑contract cost management.
• Strong numerical, communication and organisational abilities.
• Working towards MRICS or willing to begin the APC process.
