MEP Engineer

About the role

GCP FM is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead technical services across mechanical, electrical and public‑health systems for a commercial property portfolio. The role blends hands‑on engineering with strategic asset management, offering a hybrid work pattern and occasional site travel.

Key responsibilities

• Review asset condition, diagnose recurring issues and scope remedial or minor‑project works.
• Challenge technical submissions, assess RAMS, quotations and commissioning documentation.
• Support plant reliability, BMS‑led optimisation and compliance with statutory maintenance requirements.
• Provide clear engineering advice to clients, operational teams and contractors.

Required profile

• Solid experience in hard FM, building operations, M&E maintenance or MEP project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems and controls interfaces.
• Confidence reviewing RAMS, quotations, technical reports and commissioning information.
• Relevant engineering qualification; CIBSE/IET membership or progression toward chartered status is a plus.
