Merger Project Coordinator – Higher Education

About the role
We are looking for a highly organised Merger Project Coordinator to support a strategic merger between two higher education institutions. You will work within a dedicated programme team, providing coordination, governance and administrative support to ensure the integration stays on track.
Key responsibilities
- Support delivery of the university merger programme and its workstreams.
- Coordinate and manage due‑diligence activities across both institutions.
- Maintain the transaction data room, ensuring documentation is accurate and controlled.
- Track and respond to due‑diligence requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Organise meetings, governance forums, steering groups and project boards.
- Monitor actions, risks, issues and dependencies throughout the programme.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations and status updates.
- Maintain project plans and monitor deadlines and milestones.
- Support communication and engagement activities across both organisations.
Required profile
- Proven experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations or large‑scale transformation programmes.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast‑paced, complex environments.
