MET Technician

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced MET Technician for a leading accident‑repair specialist near Wigan, based in Skelmersdale. The role involves delivering high‑quality mechanical, electrical and trim repairs while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical, electrical and trim components to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform four‑wheel alignment checks and adjustments.
• Protect vehicles throughout the repair process and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow.
• Apply knowledge of electric vehicle systems and emerging automotive technologies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all repair work.

Required profile

• IMI or ATA accredited MET Technician qualification or equivalent body‑shop experience.
• Proven experience in accident repair and vehicle refurbishment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
