MET Technician – Strip & Fit (Accident Repair)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our accident repair centre in Enfield. The role focuses on stripping and refitting vehicle components after collision damage, with occasional mechanical work on suspension and steering.

Key responsibilities

• Strip and refit vehicle components such as doors, bumpers, trims, mirrors, lights, panels and interior parts.
• Carry out mechanical tasks including suspension, steering, subframe, axle and related component work.
• Assist with braking and chassis‑related tasks (non‑engine).
• Work closely with panel beaters and paint technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
• Align and refit components to manufacturer standards and report any additional damage.
• Complete job cards and repair documentation accurately.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or bodyshop fitter.
• Strong background in accident repair environments.
• Confident in full vehicle strip and refit.
• Good understanding of suspension and steering systems.
• Mechanical knowledge beneficial (non‑engine work).
• Own tools and a full UK driving licence preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with high attention to detail.
