Metrology Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Metrology Engineer for a 6‑month contract to strengthen our measurement and calibration capability. The role is based in Oxfordshire with a minimum of 80% onsite presence, working closely with design and manufacturing teams on cutting‑edge electric propulsion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Design Team to provide measurement insights and feedback during design reviews.
• Perform Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to validate data accuracy and reliability.
• Support calibration activities and ensure consistent measurement practices.
• Execute operational metrology tasks that improve measurement maturity and drive cost reduction.
• Work across teams to enhance data quality and process integrity.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work effectively with design and engineering teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to ask the right questions and articulate reasoning.
• Hands‑on experience with MSA, calibration, and CMM equipment.
• Confidence in interpreting and working with measurement data.
