MFL Teacher – French & Spanish (Temporary, Full‑time)

About the role
EdStaff is recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher for a maternity‑cover position at a secondary school in Knowsley, starting September 2026. The role involves delivering French and Spanish lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, fostering confidence and encouraging high achievement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver the MFL national curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Inspire confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.
- Support pupils with SEND and maintain high expectations for behaviour and outcomes.
- Contribute to raising overall standards and providing inclusive opportunities.
- Follow school policies, including safeguarding procedures.
Required profile
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to create engaging, age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
- Solid knowledge of the MFL curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Capability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
