Microbiologist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Microbiologist to join a leading pharmaceutical quality team in a state‑of‑the‑art facility. The role focuses on delivering reliable microbiological testing and supporting quality assurance within a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the microbiology laboratory to ensure timely testing and accurate data generation.
• Assist the QC Manager in developing and implementing robust laboratory practices.
• Perform microbiological tests in compliance with cGMP, HSE and internal procedures.
• Record, analyse and interpret microbiological data, maintaining data integrity.
• Maintain equipment, conduct internal audits and support root‑cause investigations for deviations.

Required profile

• Degree or higher in Microbiology, Biological Sciences or a related discipline.
• Proven experience performing microbiological testing in a GMP or highly regulated laboratory.
• Strong understanding of data integrity principles, GMP and health & safety standards.
• Ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, investigations and manage Out‑of‑Specification results.
