Mid Software Engineer

About the role

Join Bauer Media Audio’s new Manchester software hub as a Mid Software Engineer. You will help build the next‑generation audio platform that powers Bauer’s commercial broadcasting across Europe, working alongside senior engineers in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain features and services across both client‑side and server‑side layers.
• Participate in prototyping, early‑stage feature work and code reviews.
• Apply DevOps practices, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation and observability.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests while following security best practices.
• Support incident management and assist junior engineers as the team grows.
• Collaborate closely with product, technology and operations teams.

Required profile

• Solid engineering experience with the ability to work independently on full‑stack features.
• Flexibility to move between front‑end and back‑end technologies as product needs evolve.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging and communication skills.
• Interest in media/streaming environments and AI engineering tools is a plus.
