Mid-weight Interior Designer

About the role

MBDS is looking for a talented Mid-weight Interior Designer to join its Design Studio Team. The role focuses on high‑end hospitality and residential projects, working closely with senior designers from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept designs based on client briefs and senior designer direction.
• Conduct design and material research and support FF&E selection.
• Produce drawings and presentations across all project phases (CD‑CA) to MBDS standards.
• Participate in client, consultant, and contractor meetings and site visits.
• Maintain supplier knowledge and contribute to the studio library.
• Mentor junior designers and support overall team productivity.
• Represent MBDS professionally in all project interactions.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in hospitality or residential interior design.
• Understanding of UK building regulations and construction technology.
• Strong eye for materials, proportion, colour and detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
