Middle Office Business Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Middle Office Business Analyst to join a leading investment management organisation on an initial 6‑month contract. The role blends strong business analysis capabilities with deep investment operations knowledge, supporting change initiatives across the middle office.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operations and business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements.
• Review and enhance operational processes, controls and data flows across the middle office.
• Support delivery of operational change, system enhancements and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to operating model reviews, new product launches and strategic business change programmes.
• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains and improved management reporting.
• Translate operational requirements into sustainable business solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within investment management, asset management or hedge‑fund environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of middle‑office functions such as reconciliations, corporate actions, cash management, NAV oversight, P&L, FX and collateral management.
• Understanding of public‑market asset lifecycles (equities, fixed income, futures, FX forwards).
• Experience delivering business change, process improvements, operating‑model changes or system implementations.
• Strong grasp of operational data flows, controls and oversight processes.
