Middleweight Interior Designer

About the role

We are seeking a creative and motivated Middleweight Interior Designer to join our friendly team in Chelmsford. You will work on high‑quality interior projects across hospitality, residential and healthcare sectors, delivering bespoke spaces from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage interior design projects from initial concept through to hand‑over.
• Create design concepts and produce engaging presentations for client approval.
• Prepare detailed technical drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections and bespoke joinery details.
• Develop FF&E schedules, source products and obtain supplier quotations.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Attend site visits, address design queries and monitor progress.
• Conduct snagging inspections and support project completion.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends, new materials, legislation and best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in commercial interior design, preferably hospitality, workplace or hotel projects.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
