About the role

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our client’s manufacturing site in Appleton Thorn, Warrington. The role offers competitive hourly rates and the choice of day or late shift, with the possibility of progressing to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Set up components, equipment and jigs according to job cards.
• Interpret technical specifications and drawings to ensure products meet tolerance.
• Perform MIG welding on mild and stainless steel.
• Maintain clean‑as‑you‑go housekeeping standards.
• Apply 5S principles where possible.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Positive attitude and logical, methodical approach to tasks.
• Good dexterity and practical skills.
• Computer literate and comfortable using IT systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in MIG welding and in a production setting.
