MIG Welder – Contract – North East England

About the role

Join the Randstad team at the Peterlee facility to work as a MIG welder on Caterpillar articulated trucks. You will operate in a modern, award‑winning manufacturing hub, following rotating shift patterns and delivering high‑precision welds to tight tolerances.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on high‑precision fixtures and heavy‑duty components.
• Operate overhead cranes and use jigs to position and assemble large parts.
• Adhere to strict quality and safety standards throughout the welding process.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work rotating shift patterns, including days, afternoons, and nights.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Welding.
• Proven experience in MIG welding and ability to pass a trade test.
• Safety‑first mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in a shift‑rotation environment.
