Mig Welder Fabricator – Days Based (Barnsley)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mig Welder Fabricator to join a leading manufacturer of acoustic enclosures and power generation solutions in Barnsley. The role offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with the opportunity to increase earnings through unlimited overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and MIG‑weld mild‑steel components for bespoke acoustic enclosures using 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Measure, mark out, cut, bend and assemble mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet materials.
• Perform grinding, finishing and quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Maintain a 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a fabricator/welder working with mild steel, Zintec or galvanised materials.
• Confident reading and interpreting 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Reliable commute to Barnsley.
