MIG Welder – High Precision at Caterpillar Facility

About the role

Join a world‑leading manufacturing site in Peterlee as a MIG Welder, producing high‑precision components for Caterpillar machinery. You will work on a rotating shift pattern in a modern, safety‑focused environment with strong overtime potential.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on specialized fixtures and heavy‑duty components to tight tolerances.
• Operate overhead cranes and set up jigs for assembling large parts.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow strict health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with a skilled team to ensure quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Welding.
• Proven experience in MIG welding and ability to pass a trade test.
• Comfortable working with overhead cranes and jigs in an industrial setting.
• Strong safety‑first mindset and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work rotating day, back and night shifts.
