Migration Architect – Hybrid (Inside IR35)

About the role

We are seeking a Migration Architect to lead the enterprise‑wide migration of a large on‑premise estate (RHEL, Oracle, Microsoft) to AWS. The role is hybrid and operates under IR35, offering the chance to shape the target architecture and drive governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the target cloud architecture and migration roadmap.
• Lead the Architecture Review Board, ensuring security, resilience and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop reference architectures, migration patterns and operational guardrails.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence design decisions and ensure compliance.
• Provide guidance on FinOps, governance and post‑migration optimisation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of IT experience with a proven track record of enterprise cloud migrations.
• Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL), Oracle databases and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security and governance.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to senior stakeholders.
