Mission Operations Specialist - UK

About the role

The Mission Operations Specialist will coordinate the Mission Operations team to ensure high‑quality delivery, budget adherence, and timely progress on autonomous maritime projects. You will work closely with internal teams, government customers, and external partners to translate strategic intent into concrete mission execution.

Key responsibilities

• Drive one or more product‑supporting programs toward defined goals, such as ongoing R&D for the Corsair platform.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop comprehensive mission plans, considering route optimisation, environmental conditions, and risk mitigation.
• Operate Autonomous Surface Vessels (ASV) during missions, monitor performance and sensor data, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret mission data to produce actionable insights and detailed reports.
• Provide training and ongoing support to government personnel on ASV operation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards throughout mission execution.

Required profile

• Strong coordination and project‑management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with government customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Problem‑solving mindset with capacity to translate high‑level intent into concrete execution.
• Experience in maritime or autonomous systems environments is advantageous.
