Mixed Tax Advisory Manager

About the role

Our client, a respected independent accountancy firm in Tunbridge Wells, is seeking an experienced Mixed Tax Advisory Manager to support the Tax Partner. You will lead tax advisory work across a broad portfolio of individuals, small businesses and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on income tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax, estate planning and capital gains tax.
• Assist colleagues with tax queries and prepare tax computations, returns and supporting documentation.
• Deliver tax planning and advisory services to optimise client tax positions.
• Research complex tax issues and propose practical solutions.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, handling enquiries and dispute resolution.
• Stay current with legislative changes to ensure client compliance.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, guiding technical and procedural matters.
• Participate in corporate group restructuring projects.

Required profile

• CTA qualification or equivalent high‑level practical tax experience.
• Proven experience in a practice environment with strong technical knowledge across multiple tax areas.
• Deep understanding of UK tax legislation, planning and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client relationship management.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
