Mixed Tax Senior / Assistant Manager – Tunbridge Wells

About the role

Clark Wood is seeking an experienced tax professional to join its growing tax team in Tunbridge Wells. The role offers a mix of personal and corporate tax work, providing exposure to a diverse client portfolio and the chance to develop technical expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advice across personal tax, corporate tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and estate planning.
• Prepare and review tax computations, returns and supporting documentation.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide commercially‑focused recommendations.
• Research complex tax issues and offer technical guidance to colleagues and clients.
• Liaise directly with HMRC on enquiries, disclosures and compliance matters.
• Assist with corporate restructuring projects and broader advisory assignments.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• CTA qualification or significant high‑level tax experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of a broad range of UK taxes.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach to client service.
