Mixed Tax Senior – Tax Compliance & Advisory

About the role

We are partnering with a top‑100 independent accountancy firm to hire a Mixed Tax Senior. You will join a well‑established tax department, managing a diverse portfolio of personal and corporate clients while working closely with managers and partners on compliance and advisory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
• Prepare and review Self‑Assessment and Corporation Tax returns.
• Liaise directly with clients and HMRC on tax matters.
• Support tax planning and advisory assignments across sectors such as property, professional practices, SMEs and entrepreneurial businesses.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified ATT or CTA (or working towards qualification).
• Experience in personal and corporate tax compliance.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Motivation to develop technical expertise and progress to Assistant Manager level.

Required skills

• ATT qualification (or equivalent).
• CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Self‑Assessment tax returns.
• Knowledge of Corporation Tax returns.
• Familiarity with HMRC liaison procedures.

• Competitive salary £30,000‑£40,000 per year, dependent on experience.
