Mobile Caretaker – Property Services

About the role

The Mobile Caretaker will join a double‑up team delivering cleaning and caretaking services across Sanctuary Independent Living, Supported and General Needs Housing sites in Ely. Working 40 hours per week, you will use a shared company vehicle to travel between locations and ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including kitchens, shower rooms, bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting and mopping.
• Carry out caretaking tasks such as jetting, bulky item uplift and ad‑hoc compliance testing.
• Conduct risk assessments, report maintenance issues and support planned maintenance programmes.
• Maintain tools, equipment and supplies in good condition and ensure proper stock management.
• Provide timely information to internal and external customers, handling complaints and service breakdowns.

Required profile

• Competent level of numeracy and literacy.
• Experience in a similar cleaning or caretaking role.
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize workloads.
• Full, valid UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and COSHH guidelines.
