Mobile Catering Assistant – School Meals

About the role

Join HCL as a Mobile Catering Assistant, delivering nutritious meals to primary and secondary schools across Enfield and surrounding areas. You will travel to different sites, preparing and serving food while upholding the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to designated schools during term time to provide catering support.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals to children in accordance with menu plans.
• Maintain food handling and hygiene standards at all times.
• Receive, check and organise deliveries from suppliers.
• Carry out washing‑up duties and keep kitchen and dining areas clean.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
• Full, valid UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle.
• Business insurance, valid MOT and road tax.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Food Hygiene Level 2 certification (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Understanding of key allergens (preferred).

What we offer

• £12.71 per hour (£9,088 per annum) plus mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile.
