Mobile Electrical Engineer – £43k + van & benefits

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities‑management organisation in Staines‑upon‑Thames. The role involves delivering planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical work across a portfolio of sites, ensuring plant reliability and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on electrical infrastructure and plant in line with site task schedules and CAFM data.
• Respond to reactive electrical faults, diagnose issues and implement timely repairs.
• Maintain an adequate stock of spares and provide parts lists with estimated timescales for remedial work.
• Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
• Supervise and monitor subcontractor activities on site.
• Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs, SLAs and Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
• Keep plant logs up to date and communicate effectively with staff, subcontractors and client representatives.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations and 18th Edition certification.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical infrastructure maintenance within a facilities‑management environment (commercial experience is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying improvements.
