Mobile Forklift Engineer – Field Service

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well‑established materials handling company. The role is primarily field‑based, visiting customer sites across the East Midlands to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and related warehouse equipment. Occasional workshop tasks may also be required.

Key responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Complete accurate service reports and job documentation.
• Deliver high‑standard customer service while adhering to safety procedures.
• Assist with workshop‑based repairs when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer is highly desirable.
• Mechanical background in plant, agricultural, HGV, automotive or similar sectors is acceptable.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding ability.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work independently.
