Mobile Generator Service Engineer – Diesel Generators

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Generator Service Engineer to travel across Cumbria, providing on‑site maintenance and repair for diesel generators ranging from 20 kVA to 1 250 kVA. You will ensure equipment reliability, record service activities, and keep customers and line managers informed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, fault finding and repairs on generators of various sizes.
• Capture and document machine damage and maintain comprehensive service records.
• Travel to customer sites, delivering timely on‑site support.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to line managers and customers.

Required profile

• Proven experience servicing generators from at least 20 kVA up to 1 250 kVA.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles and practical fault‑finding skills.
• Ability to work independently, plan tasks effectively and maintain attention to detail.
• Valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
