Mobile HGV Technician – Kent

About the role

Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician living in the Maidstone area looking for a field‑service position? This permanent role covers the Kent region, Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week between 6 am and 6 pm, with a salary up to £55,000 depending on experience. You will be provided with a fully equipped van to travel across the designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on a range of heavy‑goods vehicles.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on‑site repairs.
• Carry out pre‑arranged servicing at rural sites.
• Conduct engine work and diagnostic investigations.
• Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect and correct electrical wiring and related faults.

Required profile

• Fully qualified (City & Guilds) or NVQ equivalent in HGV fitting/mechanics.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification are desirable.
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence preferred but not essential.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently while travelling to client sites.
