Mobile Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical/Conveyors

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Maintenance Engineer to join the UK's leading logistics provider. You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining sorting equipment and conveyor systems across a regional patch, primarily based out of Woolwich. The role operates on a Panama shift pattern, covering both day and night rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain conveyor belts, track systems and specialist sorting equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose faults.
• Perform PLC‑based fault finding and replace 3‑phase motors and inverter drives.
• Travel to multiple depots within the region in a company‑provided van.
• Shadow an experienced engineer initially, then operate independently.

Required profile

• Proven experience with conveyor or sortation equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work Panama shift patterns (day and night).
