Mobile Plant Operative

About the role

Join Veolia’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Sheffield as a Mobile Plant Operative. You will operate telehandlers, balers and other mobile plant equipment to keep the plant running efficiently and help process waste materials for maximum throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant machinery, including telehandler with bucket attachment and baler.
• Maintain efficient operation of MRF equipment and ensure timely processing of incoming material.
• Meet turnaround times for vehicle tipping and loading.
• Inspect incoming loads, report any non‑conforming material and ensure quality meets customer specifications.

Required profile

• Essential: Valid Telehandler/Teletruk licence.
• Experience in operational manual handling within a waste or industrial environment.
• Desirable: Experience in a waste facility and a 360° excavator licence.
