Mobile Smart Repair Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mobile Smart Repair Technician to travel across the Edinburgh region, delivering high‑quality smart‑repair and paint work on our vehicle stock. You will operate from a fully equipped mobile unit, ensuring each vehicle meets Arnold Clark’s standards before it reaches the showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paintwork, including masking and surface preparation.
• Carry out minor damage repairs and smart‑repair techniques.
• Polish and remove paint defects.
• Mix and apply paint products to a high standard.
• Maintain the mobile repair vehicle and tools.

Required profile

• Energetic, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Excellent people skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.

Required skills

• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in smart repair or spray painting of vehicles.

• Up to £50,000 OTE plus performance‑based bonuses.
