Mobile Software Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform Lead

About the role

Join a mission‑driven climate‑tech startup as the lead mobile engineer. You will own the migration of native iOS and Android apps to a unified Kotlin Multiplatform codebase and ship features for both consumer‑facing and client‑facing applications. The role offers high autonomy, direct collaboration with the Head of Tech, and the chance to build infrastructure that tackles environmental waste.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Kotlin, including a point‑of‑sale client app and consumer tools.
• Architect and execute the migration to a unified Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) codebase.
• Integrate lightweight web apps with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for container tracking.
• Contribute to PHP/Laravel back‑ends and occasionally support Python code on Linux‑based smart‑bin hardware.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of professional mobile engineering experience with production‑level Kotlin.
• Solid native Android development expertise.
• Strong interest or experience in Kotlin Multiplatform and comfort working across Android and iOS targets.
• Startup mindset willing to touch backend code and hardware integrations while maintaining clean, production‑quality code.
