Mobile Technician – Environmental Services

About the role

Dalkia UK is seeking a Mobile Technician to carry out Legionella preventative maintenance and related water‑system services for commercial and industrial clients across the UK. You will work on‑site, ensuring water quality and system performance meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor hot and cold water temperatures and perform temperature checks.
• Clean and disinfect shower heads, tanks, and cooling towers.
• Flush and inspect calorifiers, including flow and return checks.
• Collect water samples and conduct chlorination of tank and down‑water services.
• Test thermostatic mixing valves (TMV) and remove dead‑legs.
• Replace and line cold‑water tanks (excluding plumbing work).
• Prepare and complete job sheets, and produce reports as required.
• Participate in on‑call rota and attend monthly team meetings.
• Assist other trades and support contract growth into mechanical, electrical, and facilities‑management services.

Required profile

• Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Familiarity with ACOP L8, BS6700 and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and follow detailed procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist allied trades.

Required skills

• PDA device operation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanical aptitude for inspecting and servicing water‑system components.
