Mobile Vehicle Engineer

About the role

Join a dynamic team delivering on‑site technical support to a wide range of commercial vehicles across South East England. You will travel daily to client workshops and rural sites, performing maintenance, repairs and diagnostics on diverse equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to call‑outs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Carry out pre‑arranged servicing, MOT preparation and engine diagnostics.
• Repair and fabricate chassis components, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
• Perform inspections, correct running defects and improve vehicle standards.
• Support a variety of platforms including HGVs, ground‑support equipment, RORO vessels, fire‑rescue vehicles, tractors and tugs.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently across a designated area.
• Class 2 licence is advantageous.

Required skills

• HGV and heavy‑goods vehicle maintenance.
• Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and RORO systems.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting.
• Electrical wiring inspection and repair.
• Engine diagnostics and chassis fabrication.
• MOT preparation and corrective defect work.
