Mobile Vehicle Technician – Bromley

About the role

The RAC is expanding its Service, Maintenance & Repair (SMR) division with a dedicated Mobile Vehicle Technician based in Bromley. You will work on a planned schedule, visiting customers at their homes or workplaces to perform full‑service automotive work.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Perform diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• Complete in‑depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Provide members with advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Manage parts ordering and documentation through RAC’s mobile service platform.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ experience, or 5 years’ experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Ability to work independently following a digital schedule.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to safety.
